Iranian president said to be pleased with nuclear talks

Spain News.Net
Sunday 20th July, 2008

Iran's official IRNA news agency has described President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's attitude to talks with world powers as a step forward.

At Saturday's meeting in Geneva on Iran's disputed nuclear program the six major powers gave Iran two weeks to answer calls to rein in its nuclear activities or face tougher sanctions.

Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili had insisted Tehran would not discuss demands to halt sensitive atomic work.

Nevertheless, Mr Ahmadinejad has given a positive assessment of the talks by saying: 'Any negotiation that takes place is a step forward.'

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said after some six hours of talks with Mr Jalili that he hoped for a clear answer in around two weeks on halting uranium enrichment work in Iran.

Envoys from the United States, Russia, China, France, Germany and Britain also attended the meeting in the Swiss city.

The presence of senior US envoy William Burns underlined the importance of the Geneva talks, as the White House has previously refused to be involved in discussions with Iran.

Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki described the US decision to attend the meeting in Geneva as a 'positive procedural step' which he hoped would lead to mutually beneficial results.

Iranian president said to be pleased with nuclear talks

A couple of 'baby steps' from the bellicose.

Is the chance that Justice and Agreements can and will be honored?

Such has not been the 'acts' of the so called Leaders! Is the message, the Peoples are upset with their lack of leadership getting through the maze and haze surrounding the bellicose noise?

good point "g"

Time will tell about this latest attempt by the leaders to break this impasse. A step by step approach is necessary and hopefully the civilian voice can push the sides towards more constructive dialogue. Usually the best agreemnets are made by shall we say hardliners in the West. An example, at least in Israel’s case, was the Begin-Sadat peace agreement in 1979. The big question is should an agreement come to fruition, how enforecable and transparent are the conditions?

Joker aka the dark knight.

Iran’s president is a good joker. To him the talks is a positive step forward when it hasn’t moved an inch. They are just playing for time, having fun along the way attending talks and in the meantime, building what they diehardly wants to build. Can’t blame them though considering the US has a vast arsenal of arms and goes around bullying the world. By the way,if Iran really have those uranium tipped weapons and with their kind of derring do attitude, they would have already used it on the US warships.

Peace?

Iran will become the next nuclear power and will use the nukes to terrorize the entire middle east.
Let the B’s Buzz and the bunkerbusters go boom.
Mow down the oil rigs and let the Russian and Chinese clean up the mess.
Look for armed conflict with Iran in August.

the iranians are laughing AS WINNERS DO.
the US empire has been forced to talk it over even if they try and cover that up with belicose last ditch 2 week threats.

The iranians say they are not developing nukes, thev UN and even the CIA say They have no nuke programme too.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT NUKES but about Iran developing modern uranium tipped weapons, depleted uranium or perhaps even enriched uranium tipped weapons. The US and Nato is terrifiedv of these weapons in thev the hands of third world peoples.

Therse uranium tipped weapons slice through even armoured tanks like butter at super high tempatures .

work it out, that is mostly why the US and its allies took so few casualties in both Iraq wars.
Iraqi tanks had no chance.

Do a search on -depleted uranium tipped weapons.-look at wikipedia.

the military geopolitics behind cheaper middle east oil have changed .
Now ask yourself why when AFTER The Nth koreans gave a list to Bush of all their nuclear activities, research and foreinn trade etc.
Bush thanked them very politely and then went straight back to the white house and DECLARED A STATE OF NATIONAL EMERGENCY.WHY?
check that out at the Whitehouse websiteb statement on korea.

Shortly after THAT the now “coffin ship” abraham Lincoln carrier fleet sailed OUT of the gulf ,the US then warned Isreal of the dangers of unilateraly starting a war on Iran .

Uranium tipped weapons would slice into big ships more easily than heavily armoured tanks.
its game over

Now we see chit chat going on.but the old “big stick” doesn"t seem to worry the iranians much does it?

Iran

The country concern will not allow Iran to have a nuclear capabilities because Iran is a country that believed in revolution. Nuclear Iran will terrorize the middle east country and the Arab will scream like a stuck pig.In any event the Oversease worker leave the Arab country like Kuwait,Dubai,UAE and saudi Arabia the country will stan still beacuse the Lazy Arab relay so much from the over seas workers like Korean,Pakistani,Malay,Indian,Pilipinos,European countries,USA ,African,Vietnamese,
Sirlankans,Thai and many more not mentions. All the high tech. are being mannedf by the western technician and the common labors are manned by the above countries. If all those leave the country the arabs will be riding camels and eating dates and drinking salt water.Any body tell me if they stand by thier own feet with out the overseas workers and I will dine dates everyday. They can not. If there is no oil in those country,Iran and the Arab countries they will not be talking shits.,but the will be in the list of starving childrens by the UN.

immigrant and national minority cheap labour is used in all the rich western economies not just by rich “lazy” arabs .

Go buy a ticket for the london underground ,see who sells you the ticket and cleans the train and station toilet.perhaps an Indian or a Pole.

In germany it is the Turks,In America it is the Atzlan “hispanics"or mexicans or perhaps an 'afro-american” descendant of negro Slaves.Maybe even an Arab taxi driver in sydney australia.
